This can make the whole home feel more comfortable, rather than relying on one heated room while the rest of the house stays cold.

A single heat pump may suit a smaller home or main living area, while centralised heating may be better for whole home comfort. When you pair an efficient heating system with solid insulation and good ventilation, your home can hold warmth for longer, feel more comfortable and use energy more effectively.

The order you do these upgrades matters. Starting with insulation, then ventilation, then heating gives you the best return on investment and makes sure each upgrade supports the one that follows. Putting in a heat pump before insulating, for example, means the system has to work much harder and will cost more to run.
