NZ Building Code Insulation Requirements
Under the Building Code, new homes must be insulated to meet or exceed specific requirements.
On May 1st 2023, changes were introduced to the H! section of the building code. The changes included an increase to the number of climate zones from three to six, and increased insulation requirements for roofs, walls, floors, windows, doors and skylights. These changes aim to deliver warmer, drier and healthier buildings that cost significantly less to heat, and generate carbon savings through improved energy efficiency.

Glasswool Insulation
Glasswool is a resin-bonded thermal & acoustic insulation material made using up to 90% recycled glass, and designed for use in framed walls, ceilings, and midfloor applications in both residential and commercial construction. Our Glasswool is available in blanket and segment form.
Polyester Insulation
100% Polyester Insulation is proudly manufactured in NZ from thermally bonded polyester fibres, for use in framed walls, ceilings, suspended floors and mid-floor applications in both residential and commercial construction.
Polyester Acoustic Insulation
100% Polyester Acoustic Insulation is designed for use in timber, metal framed walls and mid-floor cavities for reducing airborne sound transfer. Our Polyester Acoustic Insulation reduces resonating noise in the construction cavity, increasing sound privacy.
Trufill Blown Insulation
Made from non-combustible Glasswool, Trufill® high performance blown insulation is designed for timber frame walls, floors, skillion roofs and ceilings. The system is designed to provide high performance insulation for new build homes.
