EVOAQ Ventilation Systems

A healthy home requires good ventilation to maintain high Indoor Air Quality. Without ventilation, your home becomes a host for mould and mildew which thrive in humid conditions.

EVOAQ Home Ventilation

The Revolutionary Home Ventilation System for Improved Indoor Air Quality and Health of New Zealanders

Why Choose EVOAQ?

At Energy Workshop, we recommend the EVOAQ Home Ventilation system for maintaining excellent indoor air quality, a critical component for your home’s comfort and your family’s health. Without proper ventilation, moisture and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) can accumulate, promoting the growth of mould and mildew and leading to long-term health issues.

The EVOAQ ventilation system continuously introduces filtered fresh air into your home, reducing moisture and VOC levels, and enhancing your overall health and well-being.

How the EVOAQ Ventilation System works

Unlike conventional ventilation systems that only adjust based on indoor conditions, the EVOAQ system also considers external air quality. This unique system uses advanced algorithms to learn and adapt to its environment, automatically adjusting its operation for optimal performance without requiring manual intervention.

Common Questions

How noisy is the ventilation system

The EVOAQ ventilation system operates between 20dB and 33dB when installed correctly, following all provided installation guides and instructions.

How will the ventilation system affect my power usage?

Our systems run 24/7 at an average minimum airflow of 10L/s per room.

Rather than turning off, our fans continue to run at a “trickle” rate, consuming as little as 3W while still maintaining the internal air quality. As such, there is little difference in power usage of the system between running on trickle speed and turning the fan off.

The average running cost of a currently installed ventilation system in Auckland is approximately $90 a year.

Do I need to operate the system manually?

There is no need for manual operation, as the system will do this automatically. In summer, the roof space air will be between 16 – 25°C at night, which means the fan will run at higher speeds to bring in more of this air.

Do I need to set the temperature between summer and winter?

No. EVOAQ systems automatically adjusts the airflow according to the quality of the available air – the better the air quality, the faster the fan will run. This makes set points irrelevant for the fan operation. We recommend a set temperature of 23°C at all times.

Does the ventilation system help to warm my house?

No. Using warmer air from your ceiling space in winter only has minimal impact on the indoor air temperature, due to thermal losses inside the ducting. However, this air can be slightly drier which may help prevent condensation inside the house.

As such, a ventilation system will help with condensation control and improve the internal air quality, however it cannot heat your house without a separate heater or heat source such as a fireplace.
